Three vintages of our Skilly Valley Riesling have combined to take gold in the Wine of Provenance award at the Langton’s Clare Valley Wine Show, held last Friday 16th October. The three vintages are the 2010, 2012 and our latest release, the 2020.
The provenance award was first presented at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show in 2009 and was the brainchild of Brian Walsh, who was chairing the wine committee at the time, and was instituted with the help of Sue Hodder, then chairman of judges.
The award recognises wines with a distinct sense of place and the ability to live and improve in the bottle; hence the judging over 3 vintages.
