Peter Treloar’s Penna Lane is a reliable source of Clare Valley rieslings under its two subregional labels: Skilly Valley and Watervale. This one has a little more richness and is more accessible young than the Skilly Valley bottling, which is finer and may prove the better wine in the long term. Fresh and dried flower aromas, clean, bright and youthful, the palate soft and generous, yet also with some tightness and reserve. Excellent value. Drink now to 10 years. HH
