Within a selection of only thirty Australian white wines—of which fourteen are Rieslings—the Skilly gets 4 stars and the following notes:
This is a counterpoint for Penna Lane’s other riesling, from Watervale. The bouquet is talcy, floral and slightly yeasty, the palate restrained, delicate and fine with plenty of vitality and a trace a sweetness rendering it more approachable.
